OUR STORY
Our story, how we came to be.
In January 2011, I opened The Flower Shop Bruton Ltd. Ever since I was little I have always wanted a flower shop, so when the opportunity arose to take over an established florist, I knew I had to take it! It was such a big gamble at the time as I had two young children still at primary school, but with the support of my family and a year later with my beautiful mother by my side, The Flower Shop was born and continues to thrive - I now get to live out my dream each and every day!

KIND
Kindness is key and manners cost nothing! We treat you the same way we would want to be treated and we know that a smile can make all the difference to someone's day. So whether you want to place an order or simply pop in for a chat - our door is always open.
-
AFFORDABLE
In short, we don't sell anything in our shop that we wouldn't buy ourselves and with the cost of living constantly increasing we try and keep our prices affordable.
-
QUALITY
Great quality shouldn't come at a great cost. We order our flowers in fresh from the wholesaler or from private growers regularly throughout the week. We aim to deliver the highest quality product available to us.
-
SUSTAINABLE
Where possible we buy British and we wrap all of our flowers using recyclable materials. We compost all of our green waste and dry all of our own flowers.

JO
FOUNDER & HEAD FLORIST
Jo founded 'The Flower Shop' in 2011 and is the heart and soul of our lovely shop. She started her floristry career in 2002 having been to night school to gain her qualifications, whilst working full time during the day. When she's not in the shop you'll find her pottering in her garden with her chickens, walking in the woods or spending time with her lovely family! Jo is usually in the shop everyday except Tuesdays and Sundays.

MIA
FLORIST
Mia was 13 when she got her first florist job, where she learned the fundamentals of floristry. It wasn’t until 2008 that she went on to study and qualify with Organic Blooms. On paper, she’s a qualified horticulturist, specializing in the mass production of cut flowers. She studied, learned, and worked on the land, whilst creating in the flower shop—growing, harvesting, and designing. Her weeks tend to vary from floristry to designing borders to gardening.
